WELCOME TO MY AUTHOR WEBSITE!

Hi. This is Jay. Welcome to my author website! Here you will find information about my writing. My high-school English teacher is probably rolling over in his grave—I was his biggest challenge to engage in writing! I will share my journey, give insight into how I have overcome obstacles, and offer a way to thrive despite the odds against you. The central theme of my writing is hope and forgiveness. Since I was a child, I had a desire for helping neglected, abused kids. As a young man, I pursued medicine to help add quality to the injured lives of children and adults. Now, I have a passion to write—to share my experiences and thoughts that may help you in your life, or to simply add joy as you read my stories. My wish is for you to be a part of my writing family.
My prayer is for my novel, Black Lethal, to be of value for you. In Black Lethal, an infectious disease doctor with a tortured past faces off against his deceitful best friend, a Chinese Triad, and a fatal virus. It is an action-packed adventure—a high-stakes medical/political thriller that combines the social message of Blood Diamond and the ticking clock of such medical disaster classics as Outbreak and Contagion.

Times are bad; people are in the streets, either protesting or begging. Worse, the virus causing the strange black wounds that doctors have begun to see on their patients’ hands and arms is no longer responding to antibiotics. If it continues to mutate, a worldwide deadly pandemic will result. Finding a solution is a goal shared by both Dr. Bradford and Dr. Han. But their motives are poles apart, and so are their methods.

Black Lethal is an exotic, exhilarating and original thriller—and because the author, a doctor himself, knows of what he speaks, it is frightening as hell.

Set in the post-apocalyptic near-future in locations across the globe, Black Lethal places Dr. Max Bradford in the fight of his life against a fast-spreading and always-fatal virus. Death rates soar, governments vie for control of his possible cure, and violence, betrayal, and despair abound as Bradford struggles to complete a mission that even he believes is doomed. Along the way, author Jay Roberts orchestrates a literary coup—a dystopian novel ironically powered by hope. It requires a great imagination, intricate plotting, and extremely precise writing to connect such random dots and produce a page-turner—but Roberts delivers!
